I’m currently reading this book and it really has me gripped. The story is thrilling, adventurous and the descriptions are so vivid. Usually Victorian London isn’t my favourite time period to read about but this book has made me change my mind. I’ve never hear of Lord Shaftesbury before but now I want to dig deeper into his life and works. A great book with a clear Christian message that applies to anyone. Will definitely be recommending it!

I’ve barely scratched the surface of his work in the book! It’s much more a sketch of the time, showing the necessity of people like him, and an attempt to communicate the sort of person he was. This Book is really good and the description in it is awesome. I feel like i myself was living in victorian times and it teaches children like me how lucky we are to live in this time. Very Good Book.
